Full of false positives, bugs and causes clashes and compatibility issues with Windows OS.

Double Anti-Spy Professional is made by a rogue software vendor which has red warnings on WOT (Web Of Trust), Presents users with high non-existent malware to lure them into buying it. Over-all it is complete JUNK!!

"Double Anti Spy Better than Norton"

Pros
I like that its easy to install, and easy to uninstall. It seems to work, its caught a bunch of viruses. We used to own Norton anti virus, but changed to Double Antispy based on a recommendation from our tech wizard pal.
Cons
Nothing so far, but I'll let you know if it doesn't catch something bad.
Summary
I recommend double anti spy mostly because it seems to work well and the price is right.

"One of the best antispyware programs yet"

Pros
It has two of the best antispyware engines you can find anywhere. I tried Sunbelt Vipre first and liked it very much. Sunbelt Vipre is combined with another great program to eliiminate the rest of the malware you do not need on your computer.
Cons
It took a long time to download, compared with some others, and longer to obtain updates for both engines. However, once that was accomplished it performed flawlessly.
Summary
This program lives up to Avanquest's own descriptive comments about it. The two engines are tops amongst the antispyware programs. Engine A contains Sunbelt?s Vipre and Engine B includes Agnitum?s Outpost Antispyware, combined with VirusBuster SDK. Both engines are from respected companies, and it was Avanquest that was able to ingeniously combine both engines so they would be compatible with each other. I tried Sunbelt Vipre first and it is tops. With the Double Anti-Spy Professional, you get both engines for the price of one. I use this program, along with my other favorites: SuperAntispyware, Threatfire, and Iobit Security 360 without any conflicts. Each has a different definition base and method of operation, resulting in a more complete detection and removal of cookies and malware/spyware. And, they are all free. I registered Threatfire as my official antivirus software in Windows Security Center.

Updated on Jan 18, 2010I have since devalued continued to evaluate this and upgraded to the purchased version. It eventually began behaving eratically when used with certain other programs I downloaded, until I lost my ability to search for anything. My cursor froze on the screen and became permanently immovable. I don't know if the brand and model computer I have made the difference. Now I only use Vipre Antivirus + Antispyware, along with A-Squared Free, Spyware Blaster and SuperAntiSpyware. I had to uninstall ThreatFire, finally, due to a conflict with the paid version. Vipre offers a firewall, also, that does not conflict in any way. I opted for the Windows Firewall. On that basis, I can see that this might conflict with some computer programs and hog otherwise valuable file space and memory.. It just seemed too good to be true (especially since I have a HP Pavillion comuter}.. -

Nothing. Don't waste your time downloading a product that fakes the reviews of its own products.
Cons
First off, I was really put off by all the fake 5-star reviews. Any company that favorably reviews its own product is usually a terrible company to do business with. Anyway I downloaded this program and it does the same as the free programs.
Summary
Please don't support companies that provide fake reviews of their own product. It makes the review process useless. But companies like this would like that so you can't see how worthless their product is.

High cpu usage and ur computer won't respond as soon as u run! u will delete it manually using ravo unistaller in safe mode and then remaining files in program files folder/ common files and also disable its services from startup in safe mode.

Summary
This is a great program! It was easy to install and I feel better about making online transactions with it running. I love the summary report because you actually get to see what it did. I didn't have to use the customer support, but it comes with a free year of support via the phone or email for free! It also updates itself for free for a year. Definitely worth the cost!

I have been using Double Anit-Spy for a few days and really it (one I figured out that "serial number" was "registration key" included on the cd. I like that complete printed reference manual comes with the software and it is really use to use and look up things I have questions about.

The program loaded really quickly and during it's first complete scan (which took a considerable amount of time, but you are warned of that upfront) it found 4 potential risks which the program identified by severity and quarantined. The recommended more frequent quick scan was considerably faster than a full scan, but it's really nice to have the ability to conduct a complete scan of the system and still have shorter scans more frequently.
The other thing that I found to be convenient with this software was that 3, not 1, licenses were included. It is rare that homes only have 1 computer anymore and not having to buy separate software packages for each computer was an added bonus.

It works well, catches files other anti-spyware doesn't, catches them as they try to download and works without slowing downt he computer noticably.

I haven't found anything I dislike yet and I've had it for a month or so.
Summary
This has worked so well for us! It has caught some malignant files as they were trying to download to the computer that were threats and quarantined them and when it's running a scan we hardly notice, which is such a great plus because our last software for this was a huge resource hog. It made it difficult to use the computer for the hours it took to scan it. Double Anti-Spy works much, much faster and doesn't interfere with our usage of the computer in any noticeable way. That's a HUGE plus for us! We would definitely recommend this product to everyone!
