Previously before using xyplorer,i was using this app. It's an above average product with minor feature's missing. The author doesn't listens to user requests nor there is a section on their forum to post suggestions.
Expensive and doesn't has lots of customization for keyboard shortcuts
Wonderful Video's to help you learn
Easy to use
Trial period was long enough to want to make the investment in buying the product. I didn't feel rushed to make my decision on my purchase.
A little more then the rest - but you get what you pay for. I did go online and found a discounted price.
You can configure Directory Opus in many different ways, so you're sure to find one that works well for you.
Initially setting up the program and discovering all its features can take a while. I've been using it for years, and am still finding new (and useful) features.
If you're looking for a Windows Explorer replacement, then look no further!
None that NexusFile doesnt have.
This program is way to over priced.
NexusFile does the same thing but its free and better looking.

Comprehensive range of powerful functions
Sometimes locks up when viewing large pdf or ppt files, but faster than opening the files with the native application
One of the few file managers that combines the ease of use of Windows Explorer along with oodles of useful features like directory synchronization, file transfer protocol, multiple directories and more. This is the Cadillac of file managers.
The price is ridiculous. Especially if you consider that most of the features can be found in freeware albeit in separate programs.
Many 3rd party file management programs provide some of the features available with directory opus but there always seems to be something that makes you return to explorer. Directory Opus is like explorer on steroids. The features all work flawlessly across all platforms. I use it with XP, Vista and Windows 7 machines. I just think 78 dollars is a lot-a-tomatoes to fork over for what amounts to a fancy File manager. Cut the price in half and I'd give it 5 out of 5.
Built in FTP manager. Directory syncronization. Light on system resources.
I've tried quite a few explorer clones. This is hands down the best. I'm really surprised Microsoft hasn't stolen it yet.
Do what you want to do with your files without restrictions
Need to learn the best possible way to use ( help files and good forums)
Best and will outdo Microsoft in all ways
Powerful, fast, customizable, portable (run from USB), asthectically pleasing. Supports plug-ins, themes, and custom configurations. User support forum. Constant free support updates between major versions. Integrated viewers and hotkey manager.
Because it is so feature rich, new users sometimes get overwhelmed. Download it, get a free trial license, check out the user support forum (link in help menu).
This is the first program I install on my windows computers after installing the operating system. And I never have to use Windows Explorer again.
This program has a lot under the hood. The money you spend on a license is trivial compared to the time it will save you in the long run.
The best place to learn about this program is at the user support forum (link in the help menu), where some of the users have written extensive tutorials. Opus is powerful; it usually not a question of it can or cannot do something, but how top do it with Opus.
