Very easy to use: Just drag and drop image files (not BMPs), set the between-frame delay time, and whether or not you want it to loop, then save the result.
Cannot edit individual frames, nor can you open any saved/(pre-)existing animated GIF file and edit it, so, in that regard, this isn't very useful.
If used in conjunction with a full-featured GIF animator program, such as MS GIF Animator, then it would make a good combination. Otherwise, take it for what it is: small, fast, but limited.
Drag and drop image files onto the program window, set the delay with the up and down arrows or type the number in milliseconds, drag the quality slider from it's default if desired, and click the big "animate" button, type in the filename and it begins processing.
Threw a couple of .png files at it for fun, and no worries.
No ads, just a logo with hyperlink in the bottom left corner.
No installer, just an .exe and a .dll in a folder.
The CNet Downloader
decline on coupon companion
untick on Blekko toolbar
and then download.
You will have to create each transitional image, but that's about it.
Simple, straightforward, and does what the name implies.
I never actually got to try the program (SEE THE CONS)
Tried to install Bleko toolbar and switch my home screen in the default install. Then in the next window it wanted me to (by default) install an automatic coupon grabber.
Anyone who has to resort to this kind of trickery on an install can not be trusted in my book of common sense. It is too bad... The reviews prior to this seem to make me believe that this program is simple to work with and does what it says. My suggestion is that the developer insert a small watermark that says that the animation was made using your program.

All your complaints have to do with c-net, not the developer. They are quickly ruining the great reputation they once had.
Fast, simple and works fine.
nothing to cons
Free, no installation, zero learning curve
The program does exactly as advertised. It gives you a no frills means of producing an animation with little effort. Great to use when you want a quick animation of graphics you've produced in an art program.
Instantly joins a bunch of pictures, just drop in, and they are made into anim
Only sets one speed for all frames. No individual frame control
Fine for making basic gif anims from a set of gifs.
Dead simple interface
Doesn't detect file name patterns like (image1.jpg, image2.jpg, image3.jpg). pretty minor complaint
For anyone who just wants to drag and drop images and output animated gifs.
I had no trouble putting an animation back together with this
none that I cound
I had previously split an animated GIF apart so I could make the background of each element transparent. This let me put it back together easily.
