"Works Nicely But Likely an Orphan Program"
Pros: I have used Active Diary since 2002 as a basic diary program and it has worked nicely -- nothing fancy but gets the job done. I had a few crashes but nothing serious.
Cons: It appears Windine Software is no more. A few months back I noticed that the support forums were invaded by spammers and then the forums disappeared altogether. Promised updates and new features never arrived. Now the Windine Software site has no info on Active Diary but instead info on restaurants. I already got my $25 worth out of this program but if I were you I would not spend a dime on this because you will likely be very disappointed -- there will likely be no upgrades or improvements. I did hear back from the developer when I set an email a few months back but that was when the Active Diary/Windine site was still active. I would look for a diary or journaling program that has better support and longevity.
