Ace Utilities is an all-in-one application for maintaining computer health. It allows you to perform all the necessary tasks to ensure your machine is operating in tiptop shape.

Pros

Clarity: Ace Utilities lays everything out clearly and cleanly, so you shouldn't have a problem working with the program.

All-in-one solution: You can free up disk space by deleting junk files, manage startup programs, clear your history, and more -- all from one program. This convenience helps streamline the process of maintaining your machine.

Quick operations: All of the actions that we executed from Ace Utilities were performed quickly and effectively.

Cons

Exit option in interface: On the left-hand side of the screen, there is an "Exit" button underneath all of the other menu items. With the addition of the red "X" in the top right-hand corner, this provides a redundant feature that is too easy to click on accidentally when trying to navigate the menu.

Bottom Line

Ace Utilities is an effective utility program. If you don't already have a similar program, Ace Utilities is a very serviceable option.

Added an option to change the system restore point creation method

Added an option to change the color theme of child windows

Removed a dll used for rendering themes to make the program a bit more lightweight.

Updated ignore lists

Minor GUI improvements.

Useful toolkit.

When I bought into Ace Utilities many years ago, I was told that I would have a LIFETIME of free upgrades. A few years ago they started charging for upgrades. It seems like they have not loyalty to their customer base ... we are just a source of revenue and nothing more.
Summary
The old version of Acework fine on Windows 10. Just do not forget to disable the ""check for updates automatically" option.

If you have used a Windows PC for some time, then this software is easy to use. Good set of utilities; each with a lot of options to customize.
Cons
No cons so far in my use.

Not bad software.
Cons
When I purchased software, the contract was Free updates for life. One day I try to get update and BAM, one has to pay for updates, no heads up, no special price for old customers or consideration, nothing.
Summary
The company did not honor their word, after a few years, they now want to charge every year. No special price or any thing for loyal customers. They were only updating software one or twice a year.

If you are an experienced computer user there are no cons.

Pros
Simple and easy. Instructions are easy to follow. Seemed to clean up my PC well. My browser (Chrome) seems to start faster now that it has cleaned the cache and cookies.

When I purchased this software a few years back, Part of the deal was all future updates were to be FREE for life. Now they want to charge for the upgrade.
Summary
If they wanted to start charging they should have started with their new subscribers, and grand father in those whom they promised free upgrade. They did not even bother to explain the change UNTIL, I emailed them. No longer use the software, no longer trust them.

Those who have called this program dangerous should do more research before making such an opinion. It does not have a virus, you don't rent it, and support questions are answered promptly.

Pros
Small installer (less than10MB); does not dump any bloated applications. Snappy performance.
Cons
Not 'flashy' enough like other programs, but I guess it makes up for it more than enough 'under the hood'.
Summary
Would definitely recommend this software for Windows users looking for a good system maintenance tool.

1. Adds recycle bins to every volume 2. Deleted my restore points 3. Locked up some of my files (tagged with a lock symbol), these file won't even respond to administrator access. 4. Slippery company. Questionable license. 5. Emailed seller and developer to find out if I was purchasing this software outright or renting it for a year. Received an email that said absolutely nothing. I'm thinking the license may be good for 6 months or less.
Summary
Even thought the programs worked very well, the things it has done to my computer without notice or permission make this a very dangerous software to load on your computer. Will not under any circumstances, buy this software.

I've been using this on multiple computers for about 10 years. Windows 2000, XP 32 & 64 bit, Windows 7 & Windows 8.1 with no problems & excellent results. It does keep the computer clean & running well. A very good investment.
