• Easy, Flexible with Interactive and AutoUpdate modes

  Pros

  The program easily downloads historical qutes from Yahoo or Google in either interactive on-demand mode or can be scheduled to automatically download them. BUT the biggest Pro for this program is the outstanding technical support.

  Cons

  While this is a tool for downloading historical data it would be nice if it did real-time data as well being that Google and Yahoo both offer real-time data.

  Sometimes you get far more than you expect from a program and YGQD delivers far more value for FREE than many other programs do that you pay for. -Robert

  Pros

  The ease of use is definitely the plus point of this simple and yet powerful tool. Simply, list your symbols in TXT format and select your download folder. Then, click "Play" button to start downloading. The speed is also enormously fast!

  Cons

  1. If the tool can allow user to save the format in MetaStock format directly instead of simply ASCII, this tool will be close to perfection. 2. May be I am not familiar, if this tool can be used to download EODs of other markets, it will be great.

  Pros

  It downloads my 74 symbols quickly each day into cvs files. Which are easily converted into excel. I download 2.5 years of data for each symbol daily although I believe It capable of grabbing data well into the 90s.

  Cons

  Would be nice not to have to convert CSV

  Summary

  Does what is is supposed to with no mental taxation. Intuitive and easy to use. There is no such thing as a 20 symbol maximum as alluded to above.

  It's fast downloading and easy to use for ascii things like QuickBasic or C++ programs

  Cons

  I couldn't get it to load in Supercharts, I don't have the know-how, I gave up

  Summary

  I would rather pay $75 and buy MLdownloader which is chart ready and I think this thing has a download limit: 20, not sure. TIme's a wasting.

  Free Extremely fast to download SO easy to setup and use,,,couldn't be simpler

  Wish, it had multiple lists (like Nasdaq, Dow 50 and so on) so that we don't have to enter all the stock codes by ourselves

  Summary

  This is one of the easiest softwares I have used..can get going in minutes. Downloads and shows exactly what it has done. Couldn't ask for more...except for proper symbols list management
