This application lets you know the time in countries and cities around the world, though you can only view nine locations at a time. World Time Explorer's main window is accessed through the program's system tray icon and displays the time in nine cities simultaneously. You can't add additional cities; instead, you'll have to swap one of the selections with the city or country of your choice. Notable features include a world map that can display the longitude and latitude of a city and its total population, and a time calculator that will compute the difference between the current time and date and one of many worldwide locations. The program offers a few settings to customize the display's background color and font. This freeware program can be used by anyone interested in knowing what time it is in locations around the world.

Pros
This program does its job well. It has a very simple window which displays local time at 9 different places. There is a very long list of places to choose from, pretty much most cities in the world will be there.
<p>After reading the editor's review I thought the program was very limiting allowing only 9 places however when I was setting up the program I realised I don't need to know the local times of that many places anyways. I only used up 5 of the slots, it should be fine for most normal users. Very good when you just want to quickly find out what the time at another location is, just a simple click on the icon, no need to go thru any menus ones the program is set up. Doesn't seem to be any ad ware contain in this program.
Cons
Its interface is nothing fancy, just a simple text display showing the times of the 9 selected locations. Not very customizable, the number of locations displayed cannot be changed, even though I only needed it to display local times of 5 different places, it has to display 9 with 4 default locations. The world map the editor spoke of is not all that spectacular.
