Used World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 International demo for Windows?
Editors’ Review
At first glance, World Soccer Winning Eleven 8 International looks an awful lot like Winning Eleven 7. At second glance, all the controls and instructions refer to PlayStation buttons. The PS2 origin of this excellent soccer sim shows in the interface. If you don't let the console bias get you down and you don't mind playing only one half of a soccer game, this demo could keep you entertained.
The greatest part of the Winning Eleven series (called Pro Evolution in Europe) is the action on the pitch. This latest version adds authentic players and uniforms for the first time. Aside from some new dribbling moves and free-kick options, the individual controls haven't changed much, but the behavior of your teammates is much more realistic. The goalkeeper is less prone to giving up easy goals when controlled manually, and off-the-ball runs are more creative. As with previous versions, the five levels of difficulty adjust seamlessly to your improvement. This console port is much easier to play with a controller, but keyboard warriors can easily customize all the commands. It's disappointing that the PC version seems to be an afterthought, but it's better than having no version at all.
