Merely adequate, nothing special

Pros
It's free until they start bombarding you with questions about how often you travel by air (perhaps a noble goal but, really!) in which you either have to lie or pay to upgrade. I did neither and uninstalled the entire thing. They also provide short, terse definitions but are weak on other features, like etymology, synonyms, antonyms, or correct spellings for words you're not entirely sure how to spell in the first place.
Cons
The cons (some of which are enumerated above) are mostly based on niggling reminders, weaknesses of the features (or nonexistence thereof), and a clunky graphic interface, which looks like something right out of Windows 98SE.
Summary
I used this software for years, but after taking a few overseas flights and getting asked to pay-up or lie, I decided to just exit.
Get it, you need it.

Pros
I installed in every PCs and laptop I am using, including my office's. It is very helpful, even the free version is enough.
Cons
None. You'll regret if you don't.

Quick and concise. Very quick at spell checking and basic definitions.

Pros
-Light in both size & use of resources -Great software license, albeit a bit strange (the thing about how often you fly) -Quick -Extremely helpful -SO easy to use -Extensions for browsers -Highlight a word anywhere & just select tray icon to get definitions, antonyms & synonyms, as well as wiki info on said word.
Cons
-Needs to list more definitions, as well as maybe two sentences instead of just one, but then again, the fact you have access to wikis & other stuff directly in program, it makes up for this -Nothing else I can really think of at the moment
Summary
I wasn't even looking for something like this & I don't even remember how or why I even came across it, but I did & I installed it at some point & well, I gotta say, I pretty much love it. I wouldn't run it if it wasted much resources either, because my CPU & RAM are priceless to me & I need them for MANY other things all the time, luckily WordWeb is awesomely light. I don't even notice it until I need it & when I do, it's quick & helpful. They did a really great job with this software & didn't add any useless or stupid features that ruin it or hinder the software, and most importantly, it has the type of interface I like, one which plays well with my Windows 7 and the custom themes I use and to top it off, I get to choose the fonts for the software, so that gives them 100 points more in my book. Love this!

Handiest program I have on my PC! Quick Ctrl-Alt-W brings this up, pop my word in, and boom! I use this multiple times, every day!

Free and nothing else

Completely lacks any look up logic. If you don't know the spelling, Wordweb is helpless to produce probable possibilities. Next, you want to look up the meaning of word and invoke Wordweb, it usually scrambles the target word into some non-web that makes the look up USELESS.
Summary
With major operational problems interfering with spelling look ups and dictionary meaning look ups, the program is best avoided as a waste of time. Wordweb simply does NOT do when is it advertised as.
