• Good strong application if you need it!

  Pros

  Can see much information about network traffic and related events or data generation.

  Cons

  I don't no what to do with it? I am not on more than a home wi-fi sharing network and I just am unsure about trekking out on the Internet with that thing in tow or, more likely, with it leading me. Plus ISP's and others would wonder what I am doing and shut off my service until I contacted them to explain and stop using it.

  Wonderful insight into network traffic. Filters isolate the data, display fields in a way that even I can understand

  Can be very complicated, but this is a very, very complicated area

  Pros

  Wireshark has always been the best even since the beginning days of Ethereal. If you are looking for a Protocol Diagnosis too Wireshark is the defacto standard in my book.

  Cons

  Not released sooner!

  Summary

  Excellent program - very reliable always on top of things and capable of handling some of the toughest jobs.
