Veteran computer users know Alt Tab application switching is one of the greatest time-savers since drag and drop. WinGlance makes it even better. This Windows XP application substitutes miniature screenshots for the program icons the Alt Tab window normally displays. The screenshot window also appears when you move the mouse to the bottom-right corner of the screen (which was not the best design choice, since the user might be trying to access an icon in the system tray). This can be extremely handy if you're running multiple instances of, say, Internet Explorer, with e-mail in one window and news in another. However, WinGlance demands a powerful computer. On our Pentium III test system, generating screenshots took several seconds. Also, you'll need a large monitor to see the screenshots clearly. However, if your system measures up and you typically work with several instances of the same program, WinGlance will certainly improve your productivity.

Developer’s Description

Switch from one open window to another by clicking an arranged window-snapshot list.
WinGlance is a visualizable Alt+Tab-replacement, task-switching utility with the ability to close a window instantly and to view duration and memory-usage information for each window. WinGlance lets XP users switch from one open window to another with only a click on the full-screen and neatly arranged window-snapshot list. The list can be activated by simply pressing Alt+Tab or pointing the mouse over the lower-right corner of the screen.
