March 2013, ten years after the invasion of Iraq, is a relevant moment for reflection on a crucial moment of our recent history. The Iraq war resulted in the deaths of 150.000 to 600.00 people, while 5 millionspring or an Arab winter? Or was the war one big disaster and a mistake - based on wrong assumptions and lies? On the same day president George Bush made his 'Mission Accomplished' statement on a flight deck on May 1st, 2003, I started to work in Iraq as photojournalist and stayed until March 2004. From that work I compiled the book 'Why Mister, Why?'- an eye witness to what went wrong; a culture clash of rare proportions.
