There's not much weird about this virtual metronome; in fact, we really like its flexibility. An attactive design scheme is not Weird Metronome's forte. While many competing programs resemble their real-world counterparts, this one follows the standard gray-box motif with drop-down menus. You can choose from a straight metronome beat or a specific number of beats per measure, but it's the custom option we especially dig. This feature allows you to set up your own specific scheme with a huge load of percussion instruments, of which nine can be used at once. After you've come up with a beat pattern you really like, you can easily save it for quick access later. A handy slider also makes it easy to set the beats per minute from four to 1,000. Finally, you can toggle the visual display on or off. This freebie is unlikely to disappoint drummers and other musicians seeking a timing watchdog.

hijacked my homepage and search engine, STAY AWAY
slade707September 8, 2013
Pros
it challenged my problem solving abilities when I tried to remove the spyware it included with the "full install"
Cons
Installing this program had the side effect of hijacking my web browser, changing my homepage, and changing my default search engine. I had to run two separate av programs (avast and malwarebytes) to fix the damage
Summary
Funny options, but failed to work
dudus2November 7, 2010
Pros
A variety of sounds and speeds.
Cons
Not keeping speed. The first and the second beats delay everything and you can't even stand in how out timed it is. I don't know if it's midi problems, but other midi programs or metronomes on my computer work perfectly and synced.
Summary
use a reliable metronome.
One of those with a bad driver?

Pros
Lots of options
Cons
Doesn't keep time
Summary
Somebody said those having timing issues had a bad MIDI driver. I guess that's what happened to me.

Pros
I've been trying to find a metronome that goes beyond regular 250bpm, I needed <p>600bpm, but this thing goes up to 1000, and you've got a wide range of sounds, beats, measures. It's got everything.Thank you very much for this product!!!
Cons
Nothing. It's simply the best there is!!!

Pros
It's the first one I've found with the volume being fully adjustable. This is cool when I have my monitor speakers cranked up and I don't want to be blown out of the studio with the metronome click. I love the tempo versatility and the ability to assign different sounds and volumes for each beat. Good Stuff!
Cons
Summary

Cons
Summary
Liked when it worked!
metchasonOctober 14, 2007
Pros
It started with a nice tone and had a down beat to boot. I only played with the controls a little (not enough to really get to know them)and it seemed to be really self explanatory. I like the whole presentation.
Cons
After the first use it would not work on my millenium gateway machine. So,I was kind of let down.
