  I spent all morning trying to remove defaultbrowser.net and it's friends.

  I actually paid for this and fought a nasty trojan virus, included with the package, for 8 hours. Their software either has been compromised or this is intentional. Either way, I finally removed it from my machine and things are back to normal.

  Had to cleanup both browsers of junkware Started downloading slowly - 2 KByes per second, then slowed to under 200 bytes per second before I put it out of its misery.

  Does a good job of ripping sites. Simple install. Simple interface.

  TONS of junkware to chase and uninstall after you install the software. Savings toolbar this iconware that. Uninstall one and another pops up.

  Download is pretty good - interface is good and not complicated.

  Cons

  Interface does not remember your last preferences so you have to always choose again your preferences if your want more then the basic download. Does not download flash sites - but no one does - so this could be better.

  Summary

  The best and most simple program on the market to date - yet needs to be improved to make it a real winner.

  Pros

  Pretty fast. Works as advertised, you give it a URL and it goes to work following all the internal links and downloading all the pages and files for that site.

  Cons

  However, if you want to rip any decently large site, you'll need to buy the full version as the free version only allows you to download 500 files and then it stops and prompts you to pay. This is never mentioned anywhere.

  Summary

  If you just want to rip one small site, this will work for you. If you want to do something a bit bigger, look elsewhere.

• Locks to a single machine. Unable to use on new PC!

  Has more functionality than say, HTTrack (free good software). Appears to download faster.

  Cons

  Unable to move to new computer after payng for as it will not run once registered on any other computer. Sloppy grid as lines overwrite each other. Confusing web site structure replication that differs from other mirroring software.

  Summary

  After paying for this program I am not allowed to use it to move to new computer after registering. Sent email complaint to vendor - no response yet. I am forced to use HTTrack instead (free) apparently works as well. Download options are VERY confusing. Use HTTrack instead!!
