Web Image Collector Plug-in for Windows

Grab and save images from the Web with ease, but trial limitations will prevent you from testing all of this app's features.

Web Image Collector introduces three separate windows that clutter your desktop. A toolbar is added to your browser window, as well, but it's rife with misspellings, which certainly don't add credibility to the program. A quick hover of the mouse over the shortcut icons displays their purpose. Despite some amateurish elements, Web Image Collector does a nice job of quickly saving images. Thumbnails of each image are kept in a tiny window, and clicking on each displays a larger size of the image in the view window. From the view window, we were able to zoom in and out, and view all of the images as a slide show. Images also can be quickly set as wallpaper from the viewer.

The trial version places a black bar across each image and prevents you from saving or exporting them. If you're going to pay for a program, it would be nice to sample all of the features, even if it's on a limited basis. If you're willing to take the risk, this program does make grabbing Web images a snap.
