Get File for Windows

This simple yet effective Firefox add-on allows you to download a file when the automatic download prompt doesn't appear, or if you find that you can't right-click on the desired download link.

Like its name, Get File's user interface is simple and to the point. You can access it by either selecting Get a File from the File Menu, or by a shortcut combination that you can customize. Either way, the program quickly saves the link to your desired location. During our tests, we saved several links to our desktop. From there, we were able to select and open the file without any problems.

The only drawback to this tool is that it doesn't offer a Help menu, but truth be told, most users won't need one. Bottom line, Get File is a useful tool to have on-hand while browsing the Web. We recommend the free add-on for all user levels.
