Simple and straightforward; did exactly what I needed

Easy to use, drag and drop; fast application, auto track numbering, edit metadata ID3 tags
Cons
Review the settings before using in case you are concerned about pause detection or overlapping. Manual split function is a bit cumbersome.
Summary
I liked the product because it did exactly what I needed it to do; the application was easy to use and split my large file into multiple tracks within seconds. In addition, the auto tracking numbering function saved me time from having to go and rename each file myself to ensure they stayed in order.

no technical input required, split my 241 meg wave file into 100 equal parts in about 4 minutes! i am using the newest 1.1 version i downloaded from their website (chenpro.com).

Has good naming and splitting options and works fast.
Cons
1. Output files are numbered, but without leading zeros; they don't alphabetize correctly. <p>2. Doesn't work on mp3's that have version 2 ID3 tags. <p> <p>3. Creates an ID3 tag only on the last output file. I would prefer all or none at all.

This program did exactly what it said and it was super easy to use. I installed it, opened a 271 meg mp3 file and split it into 4 equally sized files in less than 5 minutes

I have no idea what the negative comments are about. I just now split 2 different hour-long files from 2 different CDs into tracks, with the trial version. This is EXACTLY what we've been looking for. We record sermons at church directly onto CD, and since we don't want to deal with manually separating the sermon into tracks real time during the service, we needed something that would split the master file into tracks for easier use. This is the perfect program for that. Great job!

I used Wave Shreder many times within its trial period and state that this tool for splitting MP3 and Wavs is very reliable and easy to use. I used WS for splitting Wavs and mp3s of all sizes, big and small and always have got success. Big thanx to the author!
