Visual Merge is a visual folder synchronization and file merge utility. The program is particularly useful for software engineers, web designers and other professionals who often need to compare and merge two versions of the same source file. The program shows two files side-by-side and highlights the differences between them. The user can select with a single mouse click which version will be used in the merged file. The program also allows to view and edit the resulting file before it's saved. Visual Merge has two special modes of operation. The user can select a tabular mode for spreadsheet-like data or use Ignore Comments mode for files with insignificant comments. Other features include: Directory comparison and merge mode, Convenient differences position bar, Differences only report (convenient for documenting the merge), Auto-walk mode, and Automatic full merge of two files.
