Used Visual Capturer for Windows?
Editors’ Review
Capture screen grabs silently with this monitoring utility, but you'll have to take it on faith that most options work, since they cant be tested before registration. Visual Capture's small dialog-sized interface offers a few easily set options. However, all advanced options are blocked for demo users.
This app is easily operated by any user. It's a mere click of the radio buttons to set the few options for capture area and image type. Capture area is limited to either full screen or active window, and color or gray-scale JPEGs are the only image types. Setting the JPEG resolution percentage slider offers a novel pop-up indicator. Setting the capture timer uses a similar slider, but limits users to 5 to 2,500 milliseconds between screen captures. During testing, we found full-screen color captures for a 1,440x990 screen at 100 percent resolution were 360KB per image. You could very quickly put a sizable dent in your hard drive with saved images.
The demo doesn't have a way to hide the application or the saved images. Numerous other promised options also are restricted to registered users. The final restriction is that the demo stores only 10 seconds of images each time the app is invoked. That was long enough to prove the program saves the correct images. However, with so many blocked options we can recommend Visual Capture only to those users happy to buy before they try.
