VistaTimer is a PC timer that can reliably shut down or reboot your computer, but it lacks some features we'd like to see.
The program has a basic and easy-to-use interface that displays your system's current time. The program works like a countdown timer and is set up like an alarm clock. You simply set the termination time, choose a system shutdown action, and click Start Countdown. During countdown, the program lets you abort shutdown commands and informs you when there are only 10 seconds left. When the proper time is reached, VistaTimer shuts down all open applications quickly and effortlessly.
Unlike similar programs, you can't configure it to operate on a daily or weekly basis, and you won't find options to run system maintenance operations such as emptying the Recycle Bin or clearing browsing history. Despite some misses, those who need a PC timer will find this freeware a useful addition to their system.
