• No Trojan Found Audio Editing Easy

  Pros

  I had one purpose for downloading this. I downloaded a kids movie and someone had spoken their commentary over the movie's audio. This program let me go in, make a few selections, and comments were gone and movie was perfect.

  Cons

  I can't remember exactly, but I had to search for instructions on how to save the file without expanding the file size to an extreme amount, and the solution was easy. I'd share the info - but I can't remember! Had to do with checking certain boxes.

  Summary

  I checked this with Avast and had no virus or trojan problems. This program was recommended on many forums to help correct audio dubbing in movies. I am not a frequent video editor, but I found this fairly easy to use (had to click around for a bit) considering my lack of experience with video editing. If you're trying to edit or get rid of an audio stream, I recommend trying this program.

• Great for modifying AVIs

  The only application I found that (easily) manages: * Dividing big AVI into smaller. * <p> Merging small AVIs into one big. * Turning dual-audio AVIs into normal. * <p> Extracting audio for re-sampling of strange codecs (for example VBR to CBR) --- <p>However, 1.5.1 is an old version. Original is at sourceforge, the newest today is 1.5.10.2 build 2542. --- I posted details on how to use it at emules forum.

  Cons

  Maybe not intuitive enough for my grandma but simple enough - if you have any technical skills you'll find it very easy to use. And I haven't used the re-sampling and re-compressing features, I'm only interested in direct stream transfers.

  VirtualDubMod is a unification of three projects, VirtualDubMPEG2, VirtualDubOGM and VirtualDubAVSeach each being popular modifications of the famous video editing software VirtualDub. <p> <p>It is Stable, Easy to Use, Supports mpeg2 files(unlike VirtualDub which does not support mpeg2 files)

  none, except unfortunately all the versions of VirtualDub and VirtualDubMod are unable to support asf (WMV) files.
