This narrowly focused program delivers on its promise, though the demo seems somewhat watered down. True to its name, Video Fixer repairs video files in seven formats, including ASF, WMV, and RM. The polished interface boasts multiple buttons, including those for checking, fixing, and removing the index for partially downloaded video files. The main window contains a statement some users may find disturbing: "We aren't responsible for the destroyed files during recovery." Still, in our tests, the program repaired a problematic file without issue, though the demo won't let you access the checking or indexing functions. Beyond what we've already mentioned, don't expect to find extra features such as splitting, merging, or converting tools. However, if you have a large library of videos on your PC, it could pay to have Video Fixer on hand.

I can't find any thing to add here.

It failed to fix an AVI file of 4 GiB. They do not allow you to check for errors in trial. Trial is useless. Design and Graphics are bad. The price is high compared to the above. It Failed to fix what the free VirtualDub Succeeded in.

I downloaded the trial version via CNET. the trial version fixed the problem with an AVI file quickly and effortlessly.
Cons
20 minutes after downloading and running the fix, McAfee discovered and deleted a backdoor trojan (BackDoor-AWQ.blehg).
Summary
Somebody might want to clean up the download so others don't get hit by the virus.

i had a video file that while filming, got too big for my camera(700+mb) and it corrupted the file so it wouldnt play back on the camera for windows media player. this program fixed it in about 15 seconds.

only that its a trial, so you can only use it for a limited time, and you cant use the check function

I could find nothing to like about this software.
Cons
I let it run overnight to see if it would fix one video that seems to have a damaged audio track, and the program just hung at the point where the video was "broken" and went no further.
Summary
Maybe the problems I experienced are unique to me, but based on my experience I wouldn't recommend this product to anyone.
