I first discovered this software -- under the "Xilisoft" and "Brothersoft" brand names sometime last year while conducting a web search for video conversion software. In the ensuing months, my suspicions were aroused as I slowly discovered -- like previous posters here -- that the author(s) of this software indeed spam a multitude of message forums and blogs with comments regarding their software. They also create false web sites and false reviews of their software. It is also true that these people -- whoever they are -- disguise their software by using many different names and skins for it, but it is all the same program for the most part. I don't know what their end game is, but I would be greatly concerned regarding what kinds of hidden files this program might surreptitiously install on a hard drive during the installation process. I urge everyone here on VersionTracker to avoid this program, and the people associated with it.
