This Universal Converter allows you to convert to and from many UK, US and metric units.To do a conversion, simply select a category (length, speed, surface, temperature, volume, weight, etc.), select the source and the target units. The conversation is made on the fly as you type the source value.You can also now do some currency conversion, display real-time time differences in two places in the world at the same time and look up country and phone codes.The "Close to system tray" option allows you to run a single instance of the program and to automatically minimize it to the system tray when you close it. If you need the program again, simply double-click its icon in the notification area.

fast conversion, conversion in many different categories, conversion between many different units, ability to swap between units (a feature which is sooo simple, yet sooo useful), there is an updating service, even the ability to update currency

no cons that i see....it doesnt take up that much memory either, although i think it could b less

This is really nice. I like being able to convert currency, distance, weight, etc., all in one simple program. You even have the ability to adjust the currency exchange rate when necessary. It's a free program but I liked it so much, I paid for it anyway.

It has always worked great for me. It covers all the usual conversions needed. It doesn't cover a huge list of unusual scientific units which is fine for me. But best of all the author implemented some minor suggestions of my own in order to make it even more convenient to use. Namely it will remember the last units you selected for each separate category and not just the last category you used so you dont have to reselect your favorite conversions every time, and if like me you like to have more than one instance of the program running at a time for different categories then the particular category you are working with is displayed in brackets in the window title bar, so when all your instances are stacked on the task bar you can easily return to the one you want.
