Turbo Outlook Express Backup for Windows

This application succeeds in backing up Outlook Express files and Internet Explorer bookmarks, but the schedule tool failed to work during our testing.

As its name proclaims, Turbo Outlook Express Backup will back up and restore Outlook Express, including accounts, address books, blocked senders lists, messages, message rules, signatures, and settings. It even goes further by archiving IE favorites. Once you download the application, a wizard guides you through the procedures of backing up and restoring data.

During our testing, the program successfully backed up our Outlook Express files, though it made our system sluggish and unstable. Also, backup and restoration processes took longer than we expected, particularly when compared to similar applications. Although the archive compression was present, password protection was locked during the trial period. The program also has a built-in schedule, but it proved inoperative during our tests. Also adding to your woes, Outlook Express must be closed during the procedure.

Turbo Outlook Express Backup is available in several different languages. Basic Outlook Express users may like what this application offers, but other apps in its class outperform this one.
