Transcribe is a specialized player program to help musicians figure out music from recordings. Transcribe can slow down the music without changing its pitch, analyze chords, and play video if present. It supports footpedals, loops, markers, textual annotations and much more.
It gives you a GREAT starting point, especially with the melody, by showing you the possible chord/note matches. Can slow down the audio file, mark it up,etc
Cons
I really can't think of one. It's free for 30 days and it works well.
Summary
Doesn't transcribe for you, but gives you a great starting point. Shows possible note matches and slows down the audio file. I really liked it. Will maybe buy it (if I had $50 to spare)...
I DIDN'T LIKED IT

Pros
Simple to use, works great for transcribing melodies. You can speed up the melody to 150% of the original speed or slow it down to less than 5% of the original speed. You can also remove instruments from the song to let you concentrate on the melody or instrument you are trying to hear. It's not hard to use, but it does require that you read the instructions and experiment and play around with the software. The first day I downloaded this software I transcribed a Miles Davis solo. Transcribe is a tool you'll use a lot regardless of musical ability.
Cons
Price is a bit high

Summary
It works well, but I don't see how you can match or record the cords/keys with the sound, unless by hand. I was hoping it would let you note the cords in sequence with the song. Probabbly my bad.
this program does not work

Summary
Crashes when loading a cd, other than that the program doesn't really do anything at all. At least it doesn't do what the description on this site says. Download it if u want and see for yourself
