This strictly average pop-up blocker handles its job just fine but doesn't offer enough extra features to lift it above the crowd. The interface is easy enough to comprehend, letting you manually add sites from which to block or accept pop-ups, though we noticed a grammatical error in one of the explanation messages. Ad Killer runs in your system tray as a pair of watchful eyes and allows you to disable it entirely with the simple click of a mouse. However, beyond its basic pop-up-killing duties, you won't find any sort of extra features, including the ability to quash banner or Flash ads. Since the market is flooded with dozens of more-powerful ad-blocking utilities, we recommend Ad Killer only to those folks who need the bare minimum of protection.
