This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I bought version 1 only to discover that it didn't do what I really needed it for (syncing notes with Entourage). Version 2 provides the two-way sync that I was looking for. SMS and Call logs work as advertised as well. Just install it and forget about it. I like that. A bit pricey if you're not cross- or upgrading.
Two-way notes with Entourage at last

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Finally (and reliably) adds two-way Notes synch for Entourage. It runs as part of Apple's Sync Services, so no additional steps (i.e. WiFi sync) are needed. You should note that you need to enable .Mac sync for notes in Entourage preferences for this to work (not apparent in the documentation).
As a long-time Clie user (before I got my iPhone), I've had a good deal of experience with MarkSpace and find this to be one of their better products. In the past, my experience with their support has been very good, but I found myself wishing that I didn't needed as frequently. If you've been holding off on MS/iPhone, I'd say you can now safely go for it.
Terrible software

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
Like the others have said: this is awful. I also had to use Missing Sync for Windows Mobile from the same company, which was just as horrible. They just don't know how to make proper, stable software with a nice user interface that's actually... well, usable.
If you're looking for a nice iPhone archival (SMS etc.) app that does everything this piece of crap does, for half the money, get PhoneView. Was part of the latest MacHeist bundle. About as nice and even cheaper: MobileSync Browser.
Whatever you do, just avoid this junkware like the plague.
Not recommendable!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I've bought The Missing Sync for iPhone some months ago. Now with the update to 1.0.2 it's the first time (!) it works for me.
BUT: While I understand that Apple's API doesn't allow two way syncing so far nevertheless there would have been a lot of room for improvement which could have be done already in the past from the Missing Sync's manufacturer MarkSpace. Unfortunately they missed it and so Missing Sync for iPhone is still a very rudimentary solution even mostly without standard features like e.g. sorting dates up or down in SMS Log, showing your contact in sent SMS in SMS Log etc.
So I think it's still highly overpriced and therefore not recommendable at all !
Very Buggy, Limited Functionality, Expensive,...

...Useless
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
The other reviewers have it right. Was a longtime Missing Sync for Treo user, and the product was indispensable to me. The iPhone version is sadly lacking in comparison.
As noted by others, notes "transfer" one-way, to the Mac. They don't sync. This basic functionality of other Missing Sync products is promised "soon," and has been for months.
The SMS and call log sync functions worked fine for me for a while, then stopped completely. My support ticket has not been responded to in more than a week. Not a good sign.
I used to run the Treo version simultaneously on my desktop and laptop, with a single license. Now you need a license for each computer, making the program rather expensive considering other (some free) alternatives available. None of the alternatives I've found offer the elegance or one-stop solution promised by Missing Sync -- but for now, anyway, Missing Sync isn't delivering a stable product for the iPhone, and expected features are vaporware. So multiple free (or cheaper) applications that do work are, for now, far better than a single expensive application that doesn't work.
Sometimes works, sometimes not

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
At this point, I have to agree with the other reviews. It worked a few times but then stopped, with all but a couple of the notes from my iPhone disappearing from Entourage. Even at the cross-grade price from the Palm OS version, it is pretty worthless. If you're considering it, wait for an upgrade and a couple of positive reviews. FileMagnet ($.99) and some of the secure wallet applications can sync files via wireless.
Complete waste of money

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.
I used Missing Sync for Windows for some time and was very pleased with the product, and when I recently changed over to the iPhone I upgraded to Missing Sync for Iphone. This was a complete waste of money. The main reason I wanted to use it was to sync iPhone notes and as yet this still is not implemented, for everything else that you need use iTunes. Don't waste your money.
