The Hypnogenic Screen Saver is a highly configurable audio-visualization generator that produces an incredible variety of colorful mathematical patterns that can synchronize with the audio on your PC.Included are hundreds of preset configurations that demonstrate some of the capabilities of the software. If you're feeling adventurous you can use the built-in editor to create your own displays using a huge library of pattern generators, palettes, and controls. Put on some music, fire it up, and watch the show.

The most colorful thing I've ever seen

Pros
This software produces an eclectic variety of animations that span the gauntlet from linear/polygonal to plasma/fractal-like structures. It does a nice job making the patterns dance to the music (or any audio) that's playing. Its real strength, however, is the color palettes it produces and the way it transitions and blends between them. It really is hypnotizing.
Cons
The number of options in the UI is overwhelming and creating your own patterns is fairly complicated unless you invest some time experimenting and learning what all the variables do. I have a very fast gaming rig and the animations were a tad frenetic using the default image quality setting.
Summary
I've experimented with the software quite a bit since installing it and it's quite addictive. Just when you think you've got a handle on its capabilities it will surprise you. By default it runs in a demo mode where plays a random preset for a short time before picking another. This is an ADD sufferers dream (or nightmare).
