Works but low graphics and not user-friendly

I honestly don't have any good things to say about this game, except that it downloaded and installed quickly.
Cons
The graphics are very low grade; very little that user can do in the way of side or layout options.
Summary
The graphics they look like DOS VGA style. The game wouldn't let me choose which color I wanted to be (i.e., black or white), or which side I wanted (i.e., top or bottom), or how I wanted the layout (i.e., although the displayed version is "legal", it isn't what I'm used to). I couldn't figure out what the "P#" buttons/icons were, on the lower left of the screen, and most of the screen is wasted space, where they could have put a bigger and more legible board. There is no option to have the computer automatically roll the dice; instead, the user has to click the "cup" to get the dice to roll; that's an unnecessary effort and a waste of time. Then, I couldn't figure out what to do with the move: I clicked on pieces, held the mouse over them, tried to enter numbers, etc, but nothing worked. As a comparison, I've been using "Geert's Backgammon" for quite some time; it isn't very smart, and I'm convinced that it "cheats" on occasion (!), but at least it's easy to use! That is the "bar" to which this game, Tams11, must set its sights. In the meantime, don't bother with this game (at least, this two-year old version (1.0.1.1)).
