Have you ever used BeOS? Remember that screensaver that draws icons on the screen in random sizes to prevent burn in? Well, the Mac OS has some interesting icons, too. SystemSaver is an application-based screensaver. When it sleeps, it digs out all the icons it can find in the system file then randomly picks one to draw on the screen every few seconds or so. Of course, it has all the standard features (sleep corner, sleep now, never sleep, and sleep after n minutes). It can also handle multiple monitors! (At least, it seems to work fine for my 2 monitor setup). Plus, it has something I've never seen in any other screensaver - a progress bar indicates how long you've been idle and when the system will sleep.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />on 9.2.2, but it works really good when you activate it manually. I can't get the "sleep now" corner to activate the screen saver. I like like the way it looks though.
