Software for the Mac to view, print, and review all types of eDrawings files. In addition, eDrawings Viewer allows convenient viewing of native AutoCAD files (DWG and DXF) and native SolidWorks parts, assemblies, and drawings. The eDrawings Viewer is intended primarily for people who do not use CAD software and thus do not need to publish eDrawings files themselves. Innovative built-in interpretation tools include 3D Pointer, Virtual Folding, Point-and-click Animation, and Hyperlinking.
nothing - not sure why the other positive reviews are so lucky - probably fake reviews
Cons
Won't stay open and can't see an image when it is open for either DWF or DFX files.
Summary
If it doesn't work then it isn't worth much is it. Good Luck if you try it
Does the job for viewing .DWG AutoCAD files

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Works well enough. I wish the measurement tool worked on DWGs but otherwise is very useful -- brings in reference files correctly etc. Occasionally printing fails, which requires a restart of the app, then OK.
Great Viewer!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I needed to review a CAD drawing for some lease space. This viewer did the trick! Installed version 10.0.0.727 from the developers site. Running on Mac OS X 10.6.2 on a newer MBP. Would be nice if you could measure distance. I see the option in the menu, but it's greyed out. I'm just looking at space, not creating it, so the measure tool would be handy in the viewer.
Never got it open

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I've tried this program on watching DWG files for half and hour, and found it to be very buggy:
<ul>
<li>crashed twice</li>
<li>Zoom tools sometimes not working although you select them from the toolbar. Clicking some other tools in random order, before clicking the desired tool again, makes it suddenly work.</li>
<li>Print command doesn't print the document, but rather the zoomed area on the screen (at least when printing to PDF using "Save as PDF" from Print Dialog). Not Mac Standard!</li>
<li>Lacks proper usage of multi-button mice, one expects from a professional DWG viewer. E.g. left button = drag, scroll-wheel/middle button = Zoom In/Out, right button = fit to screen. Instead only the scroll-wheel works, but gives you silly results when zooming out and back in again (drawing doesn't stay centered!).</li>
</ul>
Note that everything on my Macbook is up-to-date (running 10.4.9).
Thanks for a great application...
