  Pros

  Works "right out of the box" and yet has lots of configurable options. Basic search and filter tools (based on message type) and it can start up and start collecting syslog data when Windows boots (if you install the service version).

  Cons

  I would have liked an alarm function attached to the filter but you can't have everything for free!

  Summary

  A very good syslog daemon. Works very well, has lots of configurable options and good filter and search tools. If you want to try it out install the none service version first and see how you like it. If you want to keep it then the service version is more flexible,
