Synchro Backup Home Edition for Windows

This program quickly backs up your files, but neglects to include certain standard features. Synchro Backup Home Edition's functional interface simplifies creating backup scripts. You can add files and folders to a backup list, which is converted to a script you can then easily implement whenever you need to backup files. You can specify the destination folder or networked drive to store backups, but the program can't backup to an FTP site. This utility lacks a scheduler to backup files while the PC is unattended, although the feature is found in Synchro Backup Professional. Disappointingly, Synchro Backup Home Edition also fails to compress or encrypt backup files. It would've been more convenient if the program were integrated with the Windows shell, which allows file backups via a right-click menu. All in all, Synchro Backup Home Edition covers basic backup needs, but users may want to look elsewhere for a more feature-rich tool.
