Fifteen AppleScript games (yes, games made with AppleScript!) are included in this archive: Blackjack, Echo, Find the Cheese, Formation, War, Guess the Number, Rock-Paper-AppleScript, Tic-Tac-Toe, Hangman, Scrambler, Matcher, Pico-Fermi-Bagels, Poker, Crazy Eights, and Eight Ball. Most of these games are single player, while some are no-player (Mac plays only) and some are two-player. Games are available as both Classic and OS X versions as separate downloads. Read the included Read Me file for more info.
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I am an admirer of the classic games, and even pong (Yes, <em>pong!</em> I still play it!!!), and some of these games go hand in hand with pong. I think smous doesn't realize that whenever these games actually first came out, the processors don't even have .01% of the power that these new ones have, thus these games would have been pushing the envelope (haha!). Well, anyways, enough reminiscing, if you're an "old foggie" (and I mean "old foggie" loosely; I'm only 20 and have been called an old foggie =-\ ) that has an enjoyment and taste for the classics, these are definitely worth it; however, if you're some prepubescent kid with raging hormones and an insatiable appetite for sex, blood, and gore in your games with no room for intellect whatsoever, then these games might not be for you.

Could you add a single application to manage all games (and keep them as plugins, eg)?
Where's the code?

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />methinks smous should have been a teenager with an Apple II+ in 1982 (wishing he had a IIe) instead of a teenager with an iMac in 2003 (wishing he had a G5 DP 2GHz). These games would have blown him away. Some are still very original, the price is right, and mmorales is correct in noting that the potential power of Applescript can be seen in them. They're also fun. :) They may not have the appeal of some $50.00-first-person-shooter sex-and-bloody-gore "games" I've seen. No great loss in comparison there. Two new additions to the collection are welcome. Many thanks to Matt and Earl (correct names?), two college students as I recall, who apparently have too much time on their hands in the wee hours of the morning this summer. ;)
