Editors’ Review
Muryan Reversi for Mac comes with pleasing 3D graphics, five difficulty levels, and a couple of skins and animations to choose from. Additionally, the app has autosave, move suggestions, and unlimited undo actions. The game can be played offline only -- either against the AI or another gamer using the same computer.
When launched, Muryan Reversi for Mac automatically creates a new game against the computer so you can start playing immediately. You play on a 3D board that can be rotated with the mouse or locked into a position. In the app's preferences you can choose a different skin for the board and pieces, as well as new transitions for player moves. When playing solo, you are offered unlimited move suggestions and undos. The local multiplayer mode works great, so playing with a friend is a snap.
If you like playing classical board games on your computer, Muryan Reversi for Mac will give you hours of enjoyment. Even though it comes with a price tag, the game is polished and the graphics are pleasing. Muryan Reversi is every bit as good as OS X's Chess app.
