SP3 Includes exclusive storm tracker and predictor tools, plus personal scan zone & distance measuring tools that helps you track storms, predict ETA, & plot storm paths. It's like having a personal weather radar on your PC to warn of approaching storms. E-mail & cell phone alerts can be sent when storms reach levels you set. One Of The Best Out There When It Comes To Radars

It's a lot that I like about this program. It's a must have for anyone whom is into the weather around them. I greatly like how the Radar Data is in "Near Real Time". For me this is very important. It seems to be very on point with the information it displays and I for one couldn't be more of a prouder owner. I'm still using version 3.5 so this is "Not" in ref to the 3.6 version. Another thing that amazes me about this program is how when you put the Radar in motion it don't work slow and sluggish like most programs of it's kind and the Beam is a added plus. It could use a bit more feature as the more being the merrier and it would also be very nice to be able to seen the main screen into "Full Screen" mode with and without the border and side panel.

I run both on my main Notebook PC and they work flawless and just as I need them to. There are a few things StormPredator could greatly use in side panels and that wind speed panel, Pressure penal and humidity panel and maybe even throw in a total rain gauge penal that you can turn on and off like all the rest of the panels that this program do have. I been wanting StormPredator every since I installed the trial version about three or more years ago and extremely happy to have both it and Earth Alerts working in my favor when it comes to monitoring the weather. It's a great feeling pulling up StormPredator and having a Weather Radar right at my finger tips without having to do anything more than just load the program. Looking forward in buying a Weather Station to go along with it and many years of uses.
Eval version is NOT fully functional waste of time

This is NOT the 90's where's companies hamstring demo versions. over priced for what you get and you can't fully eval without paying If they were confident they had a good product they would not strip the eval.
Summary
Look elsewhere, 5, Weathertap or GRLEVELX all have superior and better priced product.
I like it, new version has some bugs in it.

Pros
It loops your radar images and you can do a storm track *(where it is going) with approx. time of storm arrival. Overall I really like this program.
Cons
Having trouble with the new version 3.22 When SP is reading and loading radar images, it gets stuck "reading from radar site". started it up 10 times and it got stuck 8 out of 10. The previous version is better in my opinion.

This still is my favorite radar software updating (automatically) every 4 min in precipitation mode. I wanted something more in depth than your common desktop weather programs and I am still learning the basics of GRLevel3. So this has fit very well with what I am looking for. I would recommend this software.
Took out all the previous negative reviews I see, that must keep you buys busy

It looks slick and cool. It also has a few tricks you can do with it but....
Cons
All it does is take old and not necessarily current radar images that you can get for free from any weather website and they added a sweeping hand that makes you think it's actually and currently scanning the weather. It was very buggy from the start. I had two city images, one over the other every time I used it.

After purchasing this software numerous bugs were found. Their sollution to this problem was for the so-called "company" to establish a "chat forum" were USERS work out the problems. Soon they issued a "new" version (for a substantial charge) by claiming it could track lightening strikes. Several months later, this "company" NOW claims the lightening strike feature will no longer be available as they will not renew their contract with the provider. Will they offer a refund to those who purchased the "new" version? Nope. In my oninion, this is nothing more than a pathetic scam and there are MUCH better weather programs available.

It has radar, you can track storms, see other stuff, not much more.
Cons
The radar outdates quickly, it can be confusing to navigate, tracking is too sensitive, a couple pixels changes the entire track. If it was free, it would be 5 stars, but there just aren't enough features to make me want to buy it.

My previous version worked so well I missed the information that a new version was required due to changes by the NWS in their supplied images. Imagine my surprise when I emailed tech support to get a replacement S/N for the new version and got an immediate response, especially after hours and on a weekend. They really understand customer service and it is truly appreciated. <p> <p>The new version of the program is outstanding. During the outbreak of "not quite severe" weather in western and central Kansas over the weekend (both Saturday and Sunday) the capabilities of the new version were given an opportunity to "show their stuff." And show their stuff they did. Thank you for making a good product even better. <p>Thank you again for your great support during a time period your web site clearly indicated technical support was unavailable. Customer service receives an A+ rating from me.

Still having some problems getting images to my cellphone with the alert feature. Text is received fine, but not the images. This may be a problem with my cellphone/provider, not SP.

I had downloaded the trail version of SP a couple of times whenever a new version would come out, but it just didnt do it for me until now. With SP 3 they have really blown me away so now I have bought it. The new version has everything Warning layers, Echo tops, and the Topo layer beats any I have seen.
Cons
I would like to see a different design and a few more control options. They have lots of skins but the overall design is a little out dated. Would also like to see better zoom options where you could actully zoom down to a road or street like a few other programs offer.

Had no trouble with this program at all here in Florida, theres lots of thunderstrms to watch every day. The weather pictures look better than the ones by the weather bimbo on my local TV channel. I like the email alert and was able to get it to alert me on the golf course of a storm coming. That was fun because the guys I played with didn't believe me when my cell phone went off and I said Time to head back to the clubhouse! I should have bet a round of drinks.

Din't like the round display at first but then discovered I can switch to square so thats ok. I wish it had info on lightning since that is my major worry with golf.
