Stoik PanoramaMaker for Windows

User Reviews

• Great for small files, but poor for high memory files.

  mesample37May 3, 2014

  Pros

Fast processing. Great stitching quality. Offers compensation for lens distortion. Handles horizontal and vertical tiled shots. Simple to use for most applications.

  Cons

Has problems with folders containing many picture files. Crashes when stitching 10 or more high pixel count files. Offers no automatic compensation for differing shot brightness level. Technical support is slow to nonexistent.

  Summary

Program is easy to use. Resulting panorama image is great if photographs were taken using manual shutter speed and aperture setting. Reasonably priced.

• Best one I've found so far

  HaggstromDecember 28, 2011

  Pros

It can rotate, scale and skew images to stitch them into a panorama.

  Cons

Sometimes the matching of photos is wrong, and there is apparently no way to manually select which sides are matching.

• Free trial only allows printing of images

  sarahravioliAugust 22, 2010

  Pros

  Works perfectly, love it

  Cons

Free trial only allows you to print stitched images, not save. Have to buy key to save images to your computer

  Summary

Great program, but the free version is just ok. I would like to save images and not only be allowed to print them.

• Works great for stitching PDF files

  delynch1April 21, 2010

  Pros

I was in need of a program that could stitch together scanned electrical drawings. Each paper drawing was scanned in segments of four, and by using this program I was able to bring all scans (PDF's) into one file without any alignment errors!

  Cons

None that I have encountered. I'm still in the evaluation mode, but so far it's saved me many hours of tedious work. I had a problem exporting the image to a standard 11 x 17 format using the Manual Mode. Most likely because of my lack of experience.

  Summary

Within minutes of launch, I was using the program and getting excellent results. Simple to use, intuitive interface, and not overwhelming with feature icons that add confusion to the process. I liked it and was impressed.

• Simple and easy to use, good quality result.

  sqlwebpediaDecember 23, 2006

  Pros

Lots of focal length adjustments, simple interface to use, result was very good. Banding on image overlap was minimal due to diffent picture brightness/contrast levels. Very stable.

  Cons

No advanced customization of manual image stitching (does very good job though). Still a little bit of banding in my pictures on image overlap (common in all apps reviewed here).
