This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br /> Want to get rid of the chime? OK, before turning off/restarting your Mac, MUTE YOUR COMPUTER'S VOLUME! As simple as that! You can even make a simple AppleScript to mute your Mac at shutdown and reset your normal volume at login. As shareware this is a joke, but nobody takes AlphaOmega software seriously anyway. Truly PerversionTracker worthy.

Problem is, that the startup chime is always at the highest possible level. Only after the system has started completely the sound level goes back to the selected position.
