• Classic Bait and Switch Scam

  Honestly, none. I guess if they weren't bending you over with a monthly fee it would be convenient, but $15 a month (minimum) for the ability to buy their products and services is BS.

  Cons

  Deceptive business practices. Any mention of a monthly fee is hidden from all promotional offers. Pain in the ass to cancel.

  Summary

  Classic bait and switch. They make it a hassle to quit. No option to close account online, they make you speak with someone that doesn't listen and runs through retention scrips. Terrible company.

• CRASHES A LOT

  Can print amazon sales postage quick and easy.

  Cons

  It crashes and you lose the work you have done. It crashes after you print labels then you have to go to amazon and input tracking numbers manually. I have about 30 screen shots of crashes from just the last few weeks...Software is crap. Depends on IE browser for some functions like changing credit card info or changing payment methods. it always always fails. i have to go to their web-site and log in and change credit cards because the software is so bad.

  Summary

  would be a 5 star program if it didnt crash constantly

  This site is essentially one giant Scam masquerading as an online stamp selling website. If there was a way to recommend USPS to shut down this site I'd do it right now. Here's my experience with this site, which should give you some idea of the reason behind my frustration. For more than 2 years (starting Sep 2012), stamps.com has been charging me $15 every month. I didn't even know what this site does or stands for till I noticed the amount in my Nov 2014 credit card statement. I called up my card company and asked them to put a hold on this seller. Then I started receiving emails mentioning non-payment of service fee. Their office hours for calling are also very restricted but I finally got some time and called them to close my account and refund my money. After being transferred from a rep to a supervisor, and both confirming that I've never used the service EVER, all I was given was a 1 month waiver. Can you believe their response - Yes we realize you didn't use the service for 2 years and yes we realize someone might've signed you up based on a Stamps.com Google ad (where we show up first and trick people into this scam Wink! Wink!), but I can only give you one month off as credit. Thank you and bye bye! They have no way for people to close the account without calling them at their very restricted work-hours and for people with busy schedules and long credit card bills, they are essentially abusing their relationship with USPS to trick customers into this Scam. My sympathies for anyone who also feels cheated and mugged by this giant scam of a site

  You pay 15.99 a month to use their service. How is that a deal. You still have to pay for the stamps and materials to print them on.

  Summary

  I would not use this service for any reason. If you are that wealthy that you can pay this service and pay for the materials and stamps you probably have someone doing your mailing for you already.

  Stamps.com is an overall terrible service. I hope that people read this review before using this scandalous service. First off, Stamps.com is an incredible rip-off. Before you sign up for stamps.com, realize that you are paying REGULAR PRICES for stamps. There is no discount for anything and even if there is, it is very small. So yes, you are paying $15 per month for no reason PLUS the price of the stamp. You will likely not even use $15 worth of fuel going to the post office; and the leftover money that you don't use for fuel to go to the post office will compensate for the time (about 5 to 10 minutes) you took to go to there. Massive rip-off. $15 per month for printing paper at home. Also, they are not clear on how much you will be charged for their "services." Yes, if you look very closely it will say that they will charge you. However, it does not say anywhere on their homepage that they charge you monthly, and they will only tell you when you enter your credit card information. Finally, the unsubscribing process. Somehow, you can register online and they have a software that can send out emails automatically and has many other rather advanced features, but for some reason you absolutely cannot unsubscribe online. No sir. You have to call them between the hours of 6am to 6pm Monday through Friday. Now, lets think about this. First, why should we have to call you to unsubscribe? I have not heard of any online service that requires you to call to unsubscribe. If stamps.com has a customer that is dissatisfied with their services, should the customer not be allowed to easily unsubscribe online rather than having to call stamps.com? Secondly, the strategy is very obvious. "No we will not allow you to unsubscribe online, you have to call us so we can convince you by reducing the price you pay or sell you another one of our services." What an annoying strategy.

• VERY MISLEADING!!

  Was offered a deal of $40.00 free postage, $5.00 in supplies, and a free scale. Then found out after signing up that I had to pay $9.99 in postage for the scale and the free postage came in $10.00 increments for 4 months. Also found out that I had to pay $14.99 a month for the service. They said this info was all on the website when I signed up but I didn't see (and others didn't either from the reviews I've been seeing.) I only found out about it from the e-mails I received after signing up. I now use Endicia for $9.99 a month. No free postage but better service.

• MISLEADING SERVICES

  I bought some labels on their website on september 2012 and since then, I had no idea that I would be charged 15.99$ every month. I didn't subscribe clearly to their Pro Plan. This website is not transparent and very misleading. I got caught (maybe because I'm not accustomed with this service and English is not my first language) but I read I was not the only one. Watch out ! I asked them to be reimbursed for more than the one year services I've never used but off course they refused. Yet, they proposed to reimburse the only two last months. I hope they will do it. At the same time, I closed my account.

  Summary

  I discovered hidden recurring charges. Called in to cancel and they said they would charge an extra cycle. I put a hold on my credit card from paying these guys anything. They somehow got the number of my second card that I never gave them and charged there. These guys are cons.
