• Quick and Pretty.

  Pros

  Installs very fast without any problems. Just use the direct download link and you won't have any third-party malware/ads/toolbars installed from CNET. Applications are very small but very useful. Interface is very colourful, yet easy to use.

  Cons

  None that I could find.

  Summary

  Small office suite with powerful functions and features available. Runs very smooth without hogging all the system resources. Perfect for beginners like me(Old Foggy). The fact that it's free is beyond me, but that is just another plus point for me!!

  Pros

  Maybe for some folks.

  Cons

  Hooked on to other programs, started taking up space on monitor when not in use with odd banners, etc. Uninstalled. Many traces remained, especially SSuite clock. ( Picture Clock? Whazzizis doing in a Word Processor?) Have been trying numerous uninstallers and search/remove procedures without much luck getting unwanted start-up with its delay removed. Does this sound OK to you?

  Watch Out! Went with Abi instead.

• MS Office knock off that works well

  Pros

  Word Processor and Spread sheet suite. Has emailer and several other office tools taht MS Office does not have. This suite of programs works on any version of Windows and it does not require NET of JAVA stuff. The Word Processor write RTF files that work on any WP.

  Cons

  Has a few cosmetic flaws that means it is not exactly a MS Office clone.

  Summary

  My favorite suite for all my Laptops and Desktops. SInce it's FREEWARE I can use it everywhere. Get this Suite. I prefer writing RTF files, FWIW.

  Not much worth mentioning.

  Be supportive to the provider as this is a kind offer so show some appreciation for the work. There are other SSuite versions available so choose the one that you like.

• Low RAM usage gives SSuite a leg up against the rest

  Pros

  It only requires 8 MB of RAM. I installed it on an Pentium II machine with 128 MB RAM (64 MB at the time of install) and Windows XP and it opened quickly and ran smoothly. The installation process is quick. It is easy to use. Saves to PDF.

  Cons

  There is also no view menu present, so you are limited in setting up your UI layout. You can't do a custom install either, so every app that comes with the suite is installed automatically.

  Summary

  This is an easy to use basic office program. For users of older machines that are limited in RAM, it will certainly be useful and prove itself to be fine software, capable of your basic office needs. However, there is room for improvement, such as an option for custom installation and a way to change the UI layout/view. I would recommend this to anyone looking for a lightweight basic office productivity suite.

  Pros

  I like the layout and the features. It looks easy to use, although I haven't used it much as of yet. I downloaded Abiword but didn't like the layout. It was so plain. This is more attractive.

  Cons

  I don't like that the screen is so big. It covers my whole computer and I have trouble with the margins. I wish it had borders like my Word 2003. Maybe it does and I just haven't discovered how to use it yet.

  Summary

  I especially downloaded this and like it because it converts to pdf files right in the processor. That was exactly what I was looking for and it took me a long time to find it. I love this and would have given it 5 stars if the screen wasn't so big and the margins were easy to set. I'm wondering if there will be an update to this sometime. Cathy<br /><br /><span class='notifyMsg'> Updated </span>on Apr 20, 2010<p/>Just forgot to say although I love this Office, it does take up a lot of room and I don't really use anything except the Word Processor, so it would have been nice if I could just have downloaded the word processor and not all the other stuff, but that stuff does look interesting, especially the voice, activated email, although I doubt if I'd ever use it since I have 4 email accounts already. It does create pdf files and that's what I wanted it for. Thanks Van Loo for giving me just what I was looking for.

  Very fast. easy to learn and use. And it's free!

  Cons

  Missing a few conveniences. Compatibility with MS requires some research.

  Summary

  Worth downloading. It is fast and easy. Will suffice for the vast majority of work that is done on a daily basis by most people. Print the files to PDF for others and you can instantly share with every one. Excellent programs!
