  Pros

  glitches in the software prevent restoring backups and upon being told about it they say "we'll add that in the next release".

  Pros

  Extremely simple to use. You choose the database, the destination folder and that's it. Additionally you can send your backups via FTP. Finally, you can receive a detailed log in your email

  Cons

  Differential backups requires using command line option. A GUI would be more helpful.

  Pros

  I love that in just a minute I can set it work for any of my clients. Being able to backup, save on the network or FTP and get email notification is exactly what I want in most of the cases.

  Cons

  For differential backups I need to add -diff option to the command line. There is no GUI for that

  Summary

  I've compared a dozen of similar programs and this one is the most polished and straightforward.

  Pros

  It's really a simple tool that with minimal effort makes solid daily database backups

  Cons

  All that it does could be done with the scripts + some extra time. Has to run on the same PC as SQL server.

  Summary

  Best for simple daily backups. Not enough if more advanced options needed
