Developer’s Description

Sputter is a small program to generate drum and bass midisounds from textinput. Characters are translated to their ascii-representatives and put into two channels of midi: one in channel number 1 (the general midi chromatic instrument sounds), one in channel number 10 (the general midi percussion sounds). Each character thus produces a drum sound and an instrument sound at the same time. Sputter is using t2mf.exe by Piet van Oostrum (1995), a program that reparses an ascii text representation into a standard midifile. This version is the first release on CNET Download.com.
