  I like the simplicity of this app... everything you need is available in one simple window. It runs really fast, and doesn't have any annoying confirmation windows or other stalls. Free and awesome.

• best rename util out there

  Pros

  It takes a little bit to get used to the interface, 5-10 mins or so. But once you do it's super easy and works like a charm. This prog hasnt screwed up any of my files yet, and I've done around 1,000 mp3s. I especially dig the feature where you can rename Files Like This and even skip the "little" words. So you could have "Gone with the Wind.avi". spacetornado Renamer is pretty customizable too, the Options window has several tweaks, which is something you don't see in other rename programs. Plus almost every button or box in the main interface has a little question mark button next to it and if you click it you get a little description of what the thing does - handy when you're first starting out. All in all a slick free rename utility.

  Cons

  Not much I don't like - although it would be nice to be shown a little more information about the files, like date, size, extension... so you could sort by those fields.

• Finally what I've been looking for

  Pros

  I've been looking for a file renamer that will QUICKLY rename a bunch o' files using things like search/replace and changing the case To Movie Title Case. I've only needed to use the undo like twice but both times it worked well. And the up arrow is cool 'cause it lets you rename the same files a few times, doing just 1 or 2 renames each time.

  Cons

  If you don't have Microsoft .NET framework 2.0 then you have to download and install it, which takes a while. Plus I noticed if you don't click the undo button RIGHT after clicking Rename (and before adding any files or previewing again) then it won't work. But these are pretty minor.
