  Pros

  Easy to use even for a novice.

  Cons

  Not able to burn to sandisk memory stick instead of DVD and there seems to be no way to access customer support. I was please with free version and considered upgrading to the full version but customer service is key.

  I would have liked to try the full version but make it a habit never to spend money where there is no customer service.

  Pros

  It does what it says it does, converts videos into WEB format. No mess, no problems

  None to my knowledge except the registration process. By me it wants to be re-registered ever-time-i-run-it and now due to too many registrations my license is blocked and i can't use it! So, no problems with the software it is the Administration (again) that is causing all the problems.

  Summary

  Have purchased to Sothink Transcoder for Video files but due to 'changes in hardware' (I installed a SSD for my C: drive and regularly update my Hard Drives as I do a lot of video work and need HD space), my registration number has been blocked. What another issue is that the software constantly asks me to re-register the program, which I have to do each time I run it. Even if I run it as an administrator next time a run it again, again I need to register it. Now I can use it because of Hardware Changes..... Is this really your business when I play with the configuration of my PC to enable me to have greater video rendering efficiencies? This is really a good way to alienate a customer. I certainly will not buy any other items from Sothink and SourceTec. if this is not fixed fairly quickly, I am happy to surf the WEb sharing my experience. Thank you.

  Pros

  It's simply the fastest converter/burner I've ever used. It has plenty of templates, and you can use your own music in the menue. And it's free.

  Cons

  Not much really, but there is a Sothink splash screen at the start of each video. For $19.95 you can remove it, but who cares. Ashampoo gives a slightly better picture quality, but it is slower, and cost bucks.

  Summary

  Try it, I guarantee you'll like it.

  Pros

  Technicaly excellent, and very user friendly-great user interface. Does things other converters struggle with (correcting wrong aspect ratios, for example). Also, as advertised, makes use of multicore processors to their full extent, particulaly if using Windows 7. This results in fast conversions. The preview screen is particularly useful, allows you to gauge if particular files have problems.

  Cons

  Beware if you purchase the Pro version. This offers HD conversion to you video processing armoury, which works well when it's working. Over zelous product protection has made this almost unusable. It regularly asks you to re-active the product, since it has detected a computer change (when there have been no changes). You only get three reactivations, and the support response is very poor. Buyers beware! What a shame, such a good product otherwise.

  Summary

  Freebee good and easy to use. Don't buy the Pro version until they have sorted reactivation and support out.

  It can easily convert AVI, MP4, FLV, ASF, WMV, MKV, MOV, etc. And It support convert video to image with JPG, PNG, BMP, GIF, and Animated GIF.

  Pros

  This software loads up, runs, and works very quickly with no glitches whatsoever. It is very easy to learn to use and is very efficient. It converts any video format that I have tried to convert and does it in quick fashion.

  Cons

  None that I can find, unless there is a format, common to more people that it doesn't convert.

  Summary

  It does what it is advertised to do in royal fashion with no installation problems. It works quickly and efficiently, converting scores of formats. It is extremely easy to learn to use and is visually simple and pleasing. This software is equivalent to an expensive piece of software. It is indispensable to me, at this point, and I would buy it if I could not get it free.
