Capture full screenshots of Web pages and save them in different file formats.
SnapWeb is a snapshot, archiving and publishing utility for Web content. SnapWeb creates complete screenshots of Web pages even if the users screen isn't large enough to show the whole page at once. The output isn't scattered to multiple pages or scaled down unless it is unreadable. The resulting images can be saved in different file formats or copied to the system clipboard. In addition SnapWeb can save Web pages as resolved HTML data or it can extract human readable text from web pages. Version 4.1 may include unspecified updates, enhancements, or bug fixes.
Family easy to use.
Can grab web pages larger than your screen resolution.
Works for web pages which don't work with other products. (But test with trial software before you buy!)
Cons
Pricey. $18
Doesn't support video. (Other, more expensive products do.)
Summary
I tried Paparazzi, but it always crashed on certain web pages. (Using Safari 8.0 and Yosemite.) Other tools didn't do what I wanted.
This tool can capture a larger resolution image than will fit on your screen. This feature is what convinced me it was worth the price.
Excellent application & developer support.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I recently wrote to Marcel regarding SnapWeb & Leopard. He has shown incredible responsiveness and has made SnapWeb totally compatible with Leopard. SnapWeb can snap pages the others can't. Developers like this deserve the respect and the support of the Mac community.
Would be great...If it had Flash support

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Made the mistake of buying the upgrade assuming they would include Flash support in version 2.0...
<br><br>
My own stupidity aside, the lack of Flash support is the only glaring issue (and it is a HUGE one, being that many web pages include Flash) with this app.
<br><br>
It's stable, incredibly easy to use, priced right, and makes nice screen shots (providing the web page has no Flash elements in it).

I would love to recommend this product. Unfortunately, that one major issue prevents that.
Very good

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />i have used the program for a short time, and it works very good.
As someone said - there is not many programs for MacOS X that can capture a complete page. However there are room for some improvement, but I have heard of a new version coming up soon. :-))
i use this to archive our webpage every 15 minutes (a newspaper site).
Great product 90% of the time.

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I have been using version 1.1 since finding this software on Version Tracker back when. There is nothing for OSX that does what this software does in terms of capturing an entire web page regardless of the length of the page. 1.1 would balk at certain pages but that happened rarely. I look forward to seeing the improvements in this update. I would recommend this product to anyone that wants or needs the ability to take a snap shot of an entire web page for historical record or for personal use.
Great little product, BUT

Summary
This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />I was very interested to try this, but aside from the Flash problem noted here by another person, it also suffers from the same problem that the latest version of Safari (1.0 v85) does: it has trouble rendering pages certain pages. The Safari-like behavior is to take nearly forever to render the page, and often images are replaced by question marks, suggesting, I suppose, that the application gave up trying.<p>
In Safari, the cure (which is, in part, as bad or worse than the disease) is to deselect Enable JavaScript in the application's Preferences' Security panel. The same page that took a minute or more to render then will load fully in just 3-5 seconds. Unfortunately, there's no way to disable the JavaScript here. If I were to guess - and it's just a guess - it's due to SnapWeb (and Safari) being too slavish about only accepting code which is rigidly to standard, while ironically IE (especially) and Netscape (and others) are more forgiving.<p>
It also needs a progress bar so one knows for sure the entire page has been loaded before you snap it.<p>
Another thing I didn't like - a much smaller issue - is the lack of feedback that the "Snap" has been saved. Just as when I save a file, I want to KNOW it's actually saved before I move on, rather than go back later and find I goofed in some way and my expected file is not there.<p>
I was astonished there wasn't even the least info in the ReadMe on how to <b>use</b> it. How hard could that be? Yes, it's a pretty simple app to use, but for a beginner it could be a bit frustrating. Given it's simplicity, just a simple, short paragraph in the ReadMe would do the trick.<p>
While I'm not normally all that finicky about an apps appearance, I find myself put off by the heavy brushed-metal Apple look. Apple's designers may think it's swell, but I find it clunky, annoying, and already as outdated as a rusty lava-lamp. That others are emulating it is unpleasant.<p>
I'll wait until at least the first two issues, above, and the Flash issue get fixed before registering. But it certainly does have good promise and definitely fills a need.
No Flash support!!

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />Finally got this little application running and it works great IF the page you want to capture does not use Flash. SnapWeb seems to leave Flash areas totally blank in the resulting output even though the SnapWeb preview page correctly displays the Flash and gives you the impression it can capture it. Doesn't make since. If you're wanting to capture a static page (non-Flash), this is a terrific program. -2 stars because it seems most web sites now use Flash in some factor....get this fixed it this app will rock!
Nice Application! 41/2 Stars - Needs Users Guide

This review was originally posted on VersionTracker.com.<br />This Application is really nice and useful. Previous problems I had were my error, did not have Safari 1.0 loaded correctly. I give it 5 Stars if there was a simple users guide or Read ME w info on how to use. Great Application - Tell Your Friends!
