  Pros

  This looked great for a simple project I had, didn't need high end graphics. Nice lines.

  Cons

  Doesn't work. At least not with Vista. Caused computer problems. Had to uninstall. Bummed, as I would have liked to use. Since unable to save, and with system problems, chose to quit quickly and restore. Hence the low rating.

  Summary

  I might have found the problems had I researched further initially, as I usually do. Might be good for you. Suggest research first.

• Amazing how smoothly it works

  Pros

  First i downloaded the beta which crashed by saving, so i looked up for the upgrade and got smoothdraw3. Freeware, runs smoothly SPECIALY with the bamboo wacom drawtablet , I have to say 'wow', fantastic, problem: shall i replace mspaint for this.

  Printscreens are too big for the canvas,

  quick start, lovely drawing with the wacom bamboo tablet, save files as jpg, png, gif, bmp, tiff , you can work with layers, and all for free that smoothdraw3, shall I use this instead of mspaint? Find the artist in you, use smoothdraw3, eveybody can make drawings and painting now whitout handling difficult software.

  The installer works. The program starts up.

  Cons

  It's like a prettied-up version of MS Paint. The only real problem is that it doesn't really do more than MS paint. Tablet functionality did not work on my Gateway M285.

  It looks nice but if you have Vista, it's just a tease.

  Cons

  No workey with Vista. When I try to try to run File functions (save, open, etc.) I get a system error and the program crashes. Sometimes Task Manager cannot even kill the Smoothdraw task.

  I cannot comment on the product as I am unable to use it in Vista.

  This is another one of those excellent free products that keeps us loving & appreciating C/Net, lol ; ) When downloading I usually play a few rounds of solitarie while waiting, but not w/ SmoothDraw! The download & install was over before my card game pulled up, imagine that! And we all kno that some editing tools in popular programs don't quite do what it's meant too becoming sooo time-consuming, sometimes we end up opening other programs jus to get a simple yet much-needed outcome. Well! all tools & brushes in SmoothDraw give us surprising quality effects! Better yet, b/c it's customizable & so fun, like the energy-bunny we jus keep on going :) It's inspiring & it's simplicity helps newbies tremendously, encouraging everyone to be more creative! While we can't rely on this freebie version alone to create a million-dollar masterpeice, it does help when taking projects to the next level and it is an introduction to SmoothDraw 3.0.7100, which has much more capabilities, editing features, layers, blah blah ; ). I'll be downloading that too! <p> <p> (note: It has a hard eraser & a soft eraser, nice! more free downloads from "help" page. Also a review states there isn't an ability to "zoom" . Not so. Zoom is at the bottom of canvass w/ a magnifying glass icon clear as day!)
