Do your e-mail messages lack pizzazz? SmartPic can liven them up with smileys and animated images. The Windows-inspired interface makes it easy to insert graphics into the body of an e-mail: just click on an image and hit Paste in your e-mail client. You can add balloon text to any smiley, though unfortunately the prompts and instructions don't seem to function. SmartPic works with several e-mail applications, including Mozilla, AOL, Outlook, and Netscape Mail. It supports a few languages and lets you run it at start-up. SmartPic won't set the world on fire, but it's a decent way to add spice to a bland e-mail regimen.
