Although this search utility claims it can find any text within files, it has a seriously limited search capability. Smart Text Finder's interface, although seemingly difficult at first, will prove easy to use once you familiarize yourself with its functions using the help guide. Much like any other search tool, this utility can use Boolean text relations, which helps when searching for files within a folder or a drive. Users also can specify folder groups for a quicker search. The results are displayed by file (the View All Files tab) and by directory structure (View Each File). However, compared to the common Windows search engine, this application comes up short when searching for phrases or words within a file, which we think is an important feature in any search utility. Although beginners may find this application helpful, advanced users and programmers may find it lacking.
A text finder tool that don't find texts isn't a tool to be used.
Smart Text finder isn't doing it's job
Pros
Cons
Summary
I would not recommend this product since it doesn't do it's job. Searching trough a number of files for a key word will sometimes not give a hit eventhough some files do contains this word. So the program is more or less useless.
Probably just a bug but a seriously one when using this tool for troubleshooting.
Correcting this error will make it a good tool though.
