Optimize your downloads for speed and manage the software installed on your computer.
The future is lightning fast downloads, connections that always work, intelligent checking for new software, even management of the data you download. With these advances plus secure file sharing, instant messaging and much more, the future is Slingshot.
If you make the mistake of loading this useless piece of junk on your computer as I did, you will live to regret it, it does not uninstall properly and will completely mess up any future downloads you may attempt to run.
Cons
Its just not very good as a download manager (what am I saying, its total trash) and god knows what spyware it leaves on your computer.

It does not uninstall properly and will leave you wondering how the hell you are going to get your browser to work properly again.

No spyware! Helpful for downloading and organizing downloaded files. Great for connecting to (and managing files shared between) multiple computers. Very handy tool. It's and early release, but I'm expecting good things from Slingshot and Tenebril. Keep up the good work.

This software does not seem to do anything that I expect from a download manager. At least, it didn't work for me. However, it installed two spyware tools on my computer (7FaSSt and PowerStrip) without telling me! This is not freeware!!!!

When I am looking for a download manager, that's what I want it to do and do it well. But it comes with file sharing and other features which I don't want, while making the primary feature watered down.

And I couldn't get it to automatically take over the downloading for IE and Mozilla. So I tried dragging-and-dropping method. I guess it worked ok for some file, but for one large file, it hanged and I couldn't recover it.

Since I didn't like it much, I tried removing it from my system, which I had heck of time doing. I ran the uninstall, but I couldn't remove one of DLL file because of sharing error, even after rebooting. I had to use boot disc to remove this file. Also, the uninstall didn't remove a "Slingshot" menu item it adds automatically on IE during installation (went into regedit to get rid of it).

Just stick with download manager that does one thing well: managing download.
